It is with great pride and excitement that I join East Middle School as your Principal. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure all student are celebrated and supported. Together, we will ensure that we maintain our tradition of excellence and community that makes Youngstown such a special place.
As an educator, I am driven by the success and growth of every student. I have devoted my career to educating, inspiring, and advocating for students, both as a classroom teacher and as an administrator. I am excited to bring my passion, enthusiasm and experience to cultivate the unique educational programs that East Middle has to offer. Above all, I am excited to observe, listen, learn, and understand what makes EMS thrive.
My vision for EMS is to provide students with an educational experience that inspires and motivates them to be lifelong learners and caring contributors to the world around them. Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each student, both academically and socially.
At the heart of my practice is building strong relationships with the staff, students, and families I serve. We all play a part in helping our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we can make a positive difference. As your principal, I will strive to ensure that all families feel welcome and connected to our school family. As a Youngstown native and graduate of East High School, Mount Union College & Youngstown State University, it is my pleasure to serve in our Youngstown community as an Assistant Principal at East Middle School. I truly believe that our Scholars have ‘greatness’ within. It is my heart’s desire to support our Educators and provide opportunities that equip and empower our Scholars to respect their education as the next generation of leaders in our community. ‘One day at a time’, I am committed in service to our Golden Bear family!

Positive Behavior & Intervention and Support (PBIS) is an approach East Middle School uses to promote school safety and good behavior.
With PBIS, East Middle School teaches scholars about behavior expectations and strategies.
